After watching that video I was perusing the Wind Mobile site and they want conversation... They invite visitors to share their opinions of what they want... This is what I wrote.
"Please bring competition to Canada!
We want the rates and plans from the United States here in the Frozen North. Fair long distance, fair monthly plans, and data charges that don't send you to the poor house. Oh here's a thought, UNLIMITED plans for voice and data, especially data.
Please stomp and destroy the evil empires of Rogers and Bell. Canada has free Healthcare sorta and taxes up the wazoo ... At least we deserve reasonable cellular rates!"
I shouldn't have had a Timmies at lunch I know... Shap
P.S. For those who speak Italian maybe you can checkout this Wind Italy site and let us know how they are in that market... Will they be anything to rave about? Wind Italy
There's a new Canadian cell provider coming in the new year and they've produced some great tube content. I'm sure they'll end up being as crappy as our current telecom dictators once they arrive, but enjoy the propaganda until then.
I've been considering and deliberating for quite some time now about making a purchase... and a fairly large purchase at that. Not an easy task and it's literally taken me a few years to finally get this point.
I've gone through stages where the motivating factors have shifted all over the map. I started wanted to spend as little money on gas and being relatively green was important. Okay to be honest, "green" means little to me, cheap was the important part. Then it became purchase price, again cheap being important but less important was the fuel consumption.
I had an epiphany at some point and realized nothing matters unless I'm comfy, so size and comfort became the focus, combined with cost and a new feature called utility... It's quite interesting but utility was new until this point. About two weeks ago I had been fairly comfortable with the concept of a Smart Car as long as I could fit myself, a bottle of water and a camera inside. But then I took a ride in my friends truck!
Once going to a ride in a full size GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab I was quickly sold on the fact that BIG trucks were basically made to measure and I need one. I didn't know if I'd ever need to put something in the pickup portion of the truck but since the front of the truck was so perfect I figured what the hell!
Today I ventured out of the house for the first time in a week, having just gotten over the flu, and decided to visit a couple of dealers. First on the list was to see the FORD F-150 so I could get an idea of the only real competition the Sierra has.
At this point I'm leaning towards the FORD but I'm still open to suggestions.
I'm now stuck here watching youtube videos of pickup trucks attempting to use whatever misleading propaganda I can find to steady my hand and write a check this Monday.
I've been a Mac guy forever but I've got to say that I really enjoy projects like this one which bash the Microsoft empire and their less than perfect OS. This video speaks for itself!
